CAN YOU FIND THE AGE?
- ANSWER
Age group: All
The question was:
"The grandfather, father and child are together 140 years old. The grandfather is that many years old as old is the child in months. The father is that many weeks old as old is the child in days.
Can you find the individual age of the grandfather, father and child in years?"

Now coming to the Answer!
All we have to do is form simple equations after understanding the question.
Let the child's age be = some x years
Let the father's age be = some y years
Let the grandfather's age be = some z years
According to the question:
- Number of months old the child is = Number of years old the grandfather isi.e. 12(x) = z
(Since there are 12 months in a year) - Number of days old the child is = Number of weeks old the father is
i.e. 365(x) = 52(y)
(Since there are usually 365 days and approximately 52 weeks in a year)
i.e. (365(x))/52 = y
i.e. 7x = y (Approx) - Age of grandfather + father + child (in years) = 140
x + y + z = 140
Taking values of y and z from 1. and 2.:
x + 7x + 12x = 140
=> 20x = 140
=> x = 7
Now, y = 7x = 49
z = 12x = 84
And Voila, here is your answer!
Age of child = 7 years
Age of father = 49 years
Age of grandfather = 84 years
Age of father = 49 years
Age of grandfather = 84 years
